Welcome. I'm glad you dropped by. I appreciate any time you choose to spend with me.

As you can see, this is my office where I do all my writing. Most of the time, I'm fairly busy, but I will always make time for a new friend. Feel free to look around while we talk.

Oh, the sub-title of this site? I suppose I was just trying to describe my state of mind (muddled after a long and relatively full 3/4 of a century), my current pre-occupation with my novels (one completed and two more in process), my growing discontent with what my country is allowing to be done to it (as expressed in my blogs) and, most importantly, my trepidation about the world with which my grandchildren will have to deal.

On the table in front of the bookcase to your left, you'll find some information about me. It's not earth-shattering stuff, but it'll give you an idea of what appeals to me (and, I hope, to my readers).

NOTE: To the extent that the ABOUT ME section of any web site should be an honest accounting, I must make an admission. The surname "Deeney" is Irish, an Anglicized form of the Gaelic Ó Duibhne (descendant of Duibhne), a by-name derived from duibhne, denoting disagreeable or ill-tempered.

I'm sure that, amongst those who know me, there must be a few who might characterize me otherwise.
